How to use DLSS 4.5 Right now?

All good things to those who Beta

Only hours ago Nvidia announced the updates coming to their RTX Gaming suite of DLSS 4.5 updates but the official release is not until January 13th. But you do not have to wait until then, following the below guide you can be enjoying the improved image clarity on your RTX card today. As this updated Transformer Model v2.0 is supported across the entire RTX range of cards, everyone can enjoy the free enhancements.

How Do I get it?

The first thing it to download the latest NvdiaApp from their website and install this on your PC or Laptop. Once installed you will need to opt into the Beta by going into settings and then the about tab. Here you will see a radio button as below, it will be off by default, simply ticking this will then ask you to relaunch the app. Once you click it, the app will restart and commence a download and update for the app, let this run and install. And this is the gateway to accessing the treats of DLSS 4.5 and all of its visual enhancements across your current library of games.

How to enable the beta option
Once enabled the app needs to be restarted
Once Updated DLSS 4.5 is free to override in supported titles.

Once the app is updated you will be greeted with the confirmation of the new DLSS 4.5 override options to each of the supported games. And this is simply done by adding each game to the App, either manually via the Graphics>Programs tab and selecting “Add Program” and browsing to the game or simply “Refesh” and it will scan for all your games on the drive that are supported. Then you simply pick a game that supports DLSS 4 Super Resolution and in the “DLSS Model – Override” section choose “custom” and then scroll down to Preset M (which is the latest v2.0 Transformer mode) and boot up the game.

And that’s it, you can then enjoy crisper visuals, cleaner motion, more stable edges and reduced ghosting. Check back soon for the full video on my first tests.
